Dominic Bostock is an artist working in mixed media on board. His current work combines vintage printed material, text and painting with heavily worked grounds. He lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.

Statement

Dad's Drawer is a series of mixed media works on board. Collaged imagery and handwritten text are embedded through layering, abrasion and erasure, partially buried, partially revealed. A recurring drawer motif organises each piece, framing questions of concealment, absence and inherited memory. The text fragments are found language, spoken words preserved as surface marks.
